Diane Clapes, Textile Artist

Diane Clapes was born in Westwood, Massachusetts, grew up in Newtown, Connecticut and graduated from the University of Connecticut. She currently works at her home studio in Atlanta, Georgia.  

Diane has always loved working with fabric.  She dabbled at textile art while raising a family but turned to her passion full-time when her last child went to college.  Diane enjoys textile art because it doesn't require following a pattern and allows her thought to flow to her work.  Diane's work has been seen in numerous shows, magazines and has hung at the Textile Museum at George Washington University in Washington, D.C.

Diane is a member of the Studio Art Quilt Associates (SAQA).
